Doves are shot around the waterholes in the Kalahari and start at first light in the morning. Often flying steadily up until the Sand Grouse start at around 9am. The jerking flight of the Cape Turtle Dove makes it a most worthy target.

These birds are found in small numbers and are shot oppotunistically when driving through the concession. They are walked up and flushed.

Guineafowl are one of Africa's crafty game birds. It is often nothing short of a military maneuver to successfully get the flocks to fly over the waiting guns. All in all they are one of our most challenging birds to hunt.
